Demographic information is included to assist the society with NIH grant reporting activities and its goals to increase diversity, equity and inclusion. The demographical information gathered from the questionnaire is kept confidential and used for statistical purposes only.
Student/Postdoc Members: Postdoctoral fellows, graduates or undergraduate students involved in cytokine and interferon research or closely related academic disciplines, shall be eligible to become Student Members/Postdoc Members. Applications for Student/Postdoc membership must include a letter from the training advisor verifying status as a Student or Postdoc. Student/Postdoc Members pay a reduced membership fee so long they annually certify to the Society that they are engaged in full-time academic studies or research. Student/Postdoc Members are entitled to all rights and privileges of Members, including eligibility for society awards.
The International Cytokine & Interferon Society (ICIS) is incorporated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Dues and subscriptions paid to ICIS are not considered charitable contributions for federal tax purposes. However, they may be deducted as ordinary and necessary business expenses. Members should consult their tax advisors for further guidance. Note that an optional donation to the ICIS Member Travel Grant Fund or ICIS Trainee andTravel Awards as a donation separate from and in addition to your membership dues, may be tax deductible—please consult your tax advisor for details.
